For newcomers and for the curious.
What attracts people to St. John’s York Mills?
What brings them back week after week?
What do people want to know about our church?
What are they seeking in our community of faith?
January 24: A day of discovery
On Saturday, January 24th, 2015, Rev. Drew and Rev. Anne will host “Orientations Day”, a morning to help people get acquainted with St. John’s York Mills. This session is for new members, for those returning, and for those who are just curious. It is an opportunity for you to meet us and some of the lay leaders, to explore the vision of St. John’s and ask faith questions, and to discover more about the community life at St. John’s.
For our part, we explain topics ranging from the fundamental – what are our core beliefs and practices – to the practical – who’s who at St. John’s, and what programs do we have. In turn we listen to the new members and find out what you are looking for, what is important to you, why you decided to come to St. John’s, and what you might like to see.
This day of discovery runs from 9:30 to noon, takes place in the Garnsworthy room (by the main entrance) at St. John’s, and includes refreshments. If you would like to attend or want more information please talk to Drew+ or Anne+.
