Go further in your spiritual journey.
Two new sessions to study The Good and Beautiful God are starting in the week of March 2. We offered our first sessions last fall to study this book by J.B. Smith. Nearly forty people attended, and many found this book to be unusually helpful.
“Deceptively simple.” That’s how one participant described her experience of the book. We explored how thankfulness, creation awareness, solitude, slow walking and even sleep could be a spiritual practice.
Members from the first cohort would like to offer this experience to you. Would you like to participate? Each group is hosting a ‘Come and See’ first meeting. You’ll meet the group facilitators and other participants and have a taste of the material. The groups will run from March till June and complete all the chapters in Good and Beautiful God. There are usually ten sessions – a ‘come and see’ meeting, then one meeting to discuss each of the chapters.
We are offering two sessions:
- Evenings – starting Wednesday, March 4 – Dinner will be offered beginning at 6:30 p.m. – you’re invited to contribute appetizers or dessert to the table – and the meeting begins 7:30 p.m. Come for both or just for the meeting. Meet at St. John’s in the Garnsworthy room.
- Days – starting Thursday, March 5 – The meeting starts at 10.00 a.m. We will meet at 281 Poyntz Avenue, which is south-west of Yonge and Sheppard.
