The Coffee Hour, following the 10 a.m. service, is a wonderful time for fellowship and friendship, thanks to our volunteers. For the volunteers it is an reasonably easy activity that includes a great social component, and we are very thankful for their service and their commitment.
Often the same volunteers are hosting every week. Now would like to add some new faces to the roster of volunteers. Currently there are several openings in April and May. It’s best if at least two people can help out each Sunday, so think about volunteering with a friend or a mate. If you haven’t helped with coffee before, you’re welcome to sign up as an extra for one service to learn the ropes, and there are detailed instructions posted in the kitchen.
If you would like to learn more, please talk to Carol Ball or Karen Barnett. The sign-up sheet posted on the bulletin board near the office.
The “Sacrament of Coffee” (as it has been called) may seem like a frill, but in fact it is a vital part of parish life at St. John’s. Why not offer your a little of time to help us make it happen?
