Responding to Nepal Earthquake

The PWRDF is now accepting donations to support relief efforts for victims of the earthquake in Nepal.

The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) is the Anglican Church of Canada’s agency for sustainable development, relief, refugees, and global justice. Now, PWRDF is responding to the earthquake disaster in Nepal.

PWRDF is working through the ACT Alliance, a coalition of 140 churches and affiliated organizations. Immediately following the earthquake, ACT members with resources in Kathmandu began providing help with food, water, shelter, and medical supplies. Now they are determining what and where the greatest needs are as they coordinate a longer-range response.

All donations to PWRDF between April 25 and May 25, 2015 for the Nepal earthquake relief efforts will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Government of Canada.

You can support our relief efforts in Nepal, online through  CanadaHelps with a donation designated to “Nepal Earthquake”, with a credit card by calling Ricky de Castro of PWRDF at 416-924-9192 or 1-866-308-7973 ext. 318, or by mailing a cheque payable to PWRDF and marked “Nepal Earthquake” to:
