St. John’s annual Silent Film Series has finished for another year, showing classic movies and raising funds for FaithWorks outreach.
Thank You to everyone who attended the screenings of the silent movies For Heaven’s Sake (1926) and The Navigator (1924) that took place at St. John’s on February 21 and April 18. William O’Meara was outstanding as he provided musical accompaniment on the organ.
Net proceeds from the two evenings exceeded $800 and were donated to FaithWorks (the annual appeal of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto to help people in need throughout south-central Ontario and around the world). Sincere thanks are also extended to everyone who helped out before and after the screenings of the films.
