Reserve Thursday, November 5, 2015 for the St. John’smen’s 22nd Annual Men’s Dinner with guest speaker, the award-winning writer Terry Fallis.
Each year, the St. John’smen social group hosts the highly regarded Men’s Dinner. The event is open to all male parishioners of St. John’s, and we encourage each attendee to bring his father or son. The agenda for the evening includes a social mixer, a full-course meal, presentation of “St. John’sman of the Year” award, and then a talk by a notable speaker.
This year we are very honoured to have Terry Fallis as our speaker. Terry has written four novels that all went on to become national bestsellers, and is currently working on his fifth. His debut novel, The Best Laid Plans, won the 2008 Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour and was selected in 2011 by CBC Canada Reads as the “essential Canadian novel of the decade”. His fourth novel, No Relation, published last year, debuted on The Globe and Mail’s bestseller list, and went on to win the 2015 Stephen Leacock Medal.
Gentlemen, please mark Thursday, November 5, 2015 in your calendars, and plan for a great evening hosted by the St. John’smen.
