Remembrance Day service at the Yonge Corporate Centre starting at 10:30 a.m.
For about fifteen years, St. John’s has been coordinating a Remembrance Day service for people working in the neighbouring office buildings. The idea was seeded and grown by the late Rev. Bruce Williams in partnership with the management of the Yonge Corporate Centre at 4100 Yonge Street. The service is held in the atrium of this large, modern complex just a few footsteps from the doors of St. John’s. It brings the community together in a way that daily life in a large city cannot often do.
The following is from a letter from Patricia Poyntz, General Manager of the Yonge Corporate Centre, in 2014:
On behalf of the Staff and Management at Yonge Corporate Centre, thank you for the hard work that went into coordinating this ever-popular annual event. Thanks to all the participants from St. John’s for making today so memorable.
If you are able, please join us at this unique service, in the atrium of 4100 Yonge Street beginning at 10:30 a.m.
