Welcoming summer on the patio
Join us on Sunday, June 26, right after The Forum for a barbecue on the patio, in support of the Outreach projects at St. John’s.
It’s barbecue time! This is the first Sunday in summer and the warm weather is drawing us outside. It’s a great time for a lunch on the patio, with food, fellowship, and a little fundraising for St. John’s Outreach projects. At 11:30 we’ll be firing up the grill and inviting everyone outside.
Jamaica is the theme, so we will be offering jerk burgers (chicken or beef), jerk sausages, as well as regular hamburgers and hotdogs. Join us on the patio after The Open Door or after The Forum – we’ll have whatever you want hot off the grill.
We’ll also be raising funds to support St. John’s international Outreach projects. Work continues in partnership with community groups to bring three refugee families to Canada. Meanwhile, following a relationship-building trip to Sandy Bay, Jamaica, we are preparing to send supplies including replacement desks to better the learning environment at Sandy Bay Primary School. And Damien Benedict is feeling a call to return to Malawi, where on his first trip he helped build a home, and with that, a foundation for better futures. We hope you’ll consider supporting St. John’s international Outreach initiatives.
