0621 Summer Soul 1Session 6 of Summer Soul takes place this Wednesday, August 10, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at St. John’s York Mills Anglican Church. Lynne McKee is your host.

This week we will be exploring the topic of Mindfulness practice and Pain Reduction/Pain Management and how to use it to handle challenging emotions. The speaker is Vidyamala Burch, mindfulness teacher and trainer and co-founder of Breathworks, an organization that provides support to people experiencing chronic pain. This developed out of her experience of using mindfulness to manage severe pain following spinal injuries in her teens.

There will be opportunity for mindfulness practice through a guided exercise by Vidyamala and a time of meditation using Centering Prayer.
