Beginning on March 29 and running for six weeks, the Foundations of the Faith course looks at the essentials that all Christians should know. If you are new to Christianity, or if you have new questions about your faith, the Foundations course is for you.
The course is presented by Rev. Drew MacDonald with Paul Heersink. They will explore topics that include:
- The faith – What is Christianity? What are the defining beliefs? What makes Christianity distinct among religions?
- The church – What is the role of the church? What do members of the clergy do? Do you need to be a part of church to be a faithful Christian?
- The individual – What are the characteristics of a Christian? As a Christian, what is expected of you? What can you expect?
Sessions run for 90 minutes each and are free form. Rev. Drew and Paul present the material and lead the discussions with an engaging style, guided both by the curriculum and by questions from the attendees.
For more information or to register, please contact the church office at 416-225-6611, or speak to Rev. Drew or to Sylvia McConnell.
