For the body and the soul:
Monday night at SJYM is a time for young adults to gather for socializing, for a little food, and for talking about topics both light and heavy. There’s always something happening on Monday nights, and you’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you like.
Every second Monday, Rev. Drew hosts a forum where the topics are free-flowing and the talk is frank.
Ask Drew anything! This is a time to discuss whatever is on your mind. Ask him about any topic – about home life, school, relationships, values, expectations, the Toronto Maple Leafs – whatever is on your mind.
The forum gets underway at 7 p.m. every second Monday. This Spring, we are meeting on:
- April 3 (taking a break on Easter Monday, April 17)
- May 1, 15, 29
- June 12, 26
Courses and Workshops
On alternating Mondays, we offer opportunities for learning on topics that are relevant to people making their way in today’s world, infused with wisdom from a Christian perspective.
Course subjects range from practical life skills such as the Marriage Course, to the principles and practices of a life well lived in the Good and Beautiful series. To find out what courses and workshops are coming up, keep an eye on sjym.ca and Sunday announcements, or call the church office at 416-225-6611.
Soup Supper – On Hiatus
Now that Rev. Tim is taking some time away from SJYM, we are taking a break from the Monday night suppers which featured Tim’s famous soups. We thank Tim for organizing the suppers and for his help and encouragement in making the soups, and we look forward to resuming in the fall.
