An annual tradition of fellowship
Each year, the men of the St. John’smen group host the highly regarded St. John’smen’s Dinner. The evening is open to all male parishioners of St. John’s, and we encourage attendees to make it an event by bringing their fathers and sons. The evening includes a reception with hors d’oeuves, a full-course meal, the presentation of the St. John’sman of the Year award, and then a talk by a notable speaker.
Dr. Peter Stotland on advances in oncology
This year, on November 2, 2017, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Peter Stotland, a surgical oncologist who practices at North York General Hospital, to speak on Helping your Health – Beating Colorectal Cancer. Dr. Stotland brings good news on the medical front: recent advances in detection and treatment have greatly improved not only the success rate but also the quality of life for patients with colon cancer. Dr. Stotland will also talk about ideas and lessons that we can take from his work to apply in our own lives.
A tradition of fellowship – an evening of food for body and soul
Gentlemen, plan now to join us for an evening of socializing, a hearty meal, and an engaging talk. Tickets are $30 per individual and $55 for a father and son (or uncle and nephew, etc.) and are available in the church foyer on Sunday mornings and from the church office during the week.
