This month, we meet at St. John’s at 6:00 p.m. to listen to a selected podcast and then discuss over refreshments. Then at 7:15, we’re invited to watch a live-stream from Convocation Hall, where three scholars discuss the question: Is There Meaning in Life?
Women of all ages are welcome to our monthly Night Out with God and the Girls. Join us for a lively and festive evening where we share some refreshments (both solid and liquid), take part in discussions both reverent and irreverent, and grow in faith and friendship.
On Friday, January 26, our meeting will be a little different. On the same evening, St. John’s is showing a live-stream discussion from UofT’s Convocation Hall of the question, “Is there meaning in life?” We decided that The Girls should meet at St. John’s an hour earlier than usual so that we could take part in both events. At 6:00 we’ll gather in the Marsh Room to listen to a podcast interview with Nadia Bolz-Weber, author of Pastrix: The Cranky, Beautiful Faith of a Sinner and Saint — our next book. Then, we’ll move down to the sanctuary for the live-stream.
We’d love to see you here! Please RSVP to Laura Peetoom (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have questions.
