Learning and sharing knowledge is integral to every Christian’s spiritual journey. From children hearing their first Bible stories to adults probing and testing their faith to experts studying the writings of religious scholars, Christians should never stop seeking the great truths about God, about what God has created and about our places in it.
At St. John’s we structure our education program around the Apprenticeship Principle, with the goal of equipping every disciple with the skills and knowledge to know Christ and make Him known in daily life and through whatever Kingdom work they take up. Offerings include:
- introductory sessions for newcomers (and not-so-newcomers)
- “Good and Beautiful” groups based on the Apprentice book series by James Bryan Smith
- Compass Groups, which meet in homes or at the church for study and discussion of the Bible or contemporary Christian writings
And, of course, we discuss faith questions during The Forum on Sunday mornings, and post recorded sermons on YouTube.
