Contemplative Fire is offering four weeks of an introduction to contemplative prayer practices. Each week you’ll learn an different prayer form and have time to practice it.
The sessions begin on January 28 and run on alternate Tuesdays – February 11, 25 and March 11 – at 7 p.m. A simple meal is offered at 6 p.m.
Have you ever said: “Life just seems so fast-paced.” or “Sometimes I feel so much stress, and overwhelmed by all I’m supposed to be doing.” or “I’m always been asked to do something more and I find it hard to say ‘no’.” or “My mind is always rushing around.” Maybe these sessions are for you!
Contemplative Fire, led by The Rev’d Anne Crosthwait, will be offering four sessions that will help move us out of the fast lane, into a slower one. Through an experiential encounter with different contemplative prayer practices and discussion of contemplative living principles, we will explore a different way to live, an alternative in the midst of the fast pace of life. These sessions are helpful for anyone curious about prayer, or wanting to deepen their spiritual life. Consider the contemplative alternative.
Each session will be complete on its own so you may attend all or some of the evenings. Costs are $5 per session for the simple meal at 6 p.m., and $15 per session for Living from the Center at 7 p.m.
Registration is required. See www.contemplativefire.ca for more details and how to register.
