The Decision to be a Christian:
John Stott, in his book Basic Christianity, explains the fundamentals of the Christian faith – who Christ is, how Christ and Christians relate to each other, what Christ offers to the Christians, and what He expects in return from them.
In chapter 10, Stott now makes might be the most surprising statement in the book: That you must make a decision to be a Christian. A person is not born into Christianity nor do they simply drift into the faith; instead each person must consciously make their own decision about Christ: whether to accept or to reject Him.
Why do you have to decide at all? What do you need to know before you decide?
Gentlemen, join us on Tuesday, May 10, for an evening of fellowship, food, and discussion around this topic. We suggest (but it is not required!) that you read some or all of John Stott’s book beforehand. If you have trouble locating a copy of the book, please contact Max Dionisio who can help.
