Youth Ministry

Monday Nights are Youth Nights at SJYM

St. John’s Youth Ministry offer young people a place for socializing with peers, talking about topics both weighty and lighthearted, exploring ideas and possibilities, and gaining a deeper understanding of Christian faith and values. It’s also a place for relaxing and having a little fun.

The Youth Forum with Rev. Drew, every second Monday at 7:15 p.m. You’re invited to a free-form get-together with the rector. It’s a time to discuss matters both serious and silly, matters both spiritual and secular, but most importantly, what matters to you. Ask Drew anything … about family, school, relationships, life, love … whatever is on your mind.

Teaching with Rev. Tim, every alternate second Monday at 7:30. Throughout the year, Tim offers courses and programs centred on topics of faith and of life. Recent courses have included preparation for the rite of Confirmation in their Christian faith, and practical guidance for being a family with parents and teenagers. New offerings are announced at church and on this website.

Every Monday, come early for a soup supper. Arrive at 6:30 p.m. to share in a hearty soup supper with other young people. Arrive earlier, at 5:00, and help Rev. Tim make the soup!
